Important people to know!


Sam Hawkey | Chief Executive Officer

After dropping out of art college and a failed attempt to learn PHP and ASPX coding Sam started his career building e-commerce websites, flash games and selling server space in a small agency in his home town of Guildford.

From there he joined digital specialist glue London, now Isobar, working across Bacardi, News Group News Group Newspapers, Adidas and Aviva.

Sam joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a freelance Account Manager moving up to CEO after ten years. During this time Sam worked across Kerry Foods, EE & BT, Guinness, IAMS and Weight Watchers. He was also responsible for the agencies growth into new technologies in self-serve content, the Saatchi Store and agency workflow technologies.

Outside of work Sam lives in Harpenden with his wife Catherine, children Archer and Maisie, dog Harry and three cats Mabel, Fred and George. He’s also a Tottenham fan but he asked us not to include that!

Nadja Lossgott & Nick Hulley | Chief Creative Officers

Nadja Lossgott, together with her partner Nicholas Hulley, are the is the Chief Creative Officers of AMV BBDO. They joined AMV in December 2010.

They have created and creative directed genre-bending, culture-shaping work that has won multiple Cannes Grand Prix’s and Titaniums.

They are the proud owners of a D&AD Black Pencil and have work displayed in the permanent collections of the British Museum and the Design Museum.

Nick and Nadja created both #Bloodnormal and #Wombstories for Bodyform/Libresse. The global campaigns continue to break down decades of toxic shame. #Bloodnormal was the first ad in history to show the truth of period blood instead of weird blue liquid.

They creative directed The Trash Isles in partnership with LadBible and the Plastic Oceans Foundation, declaring the pacific garbage patch an official country.

From writing the influential Guinness Sapeurs film and documentary, they now also run the account globally.

Whether they’re part of the team turning worthless Zimbabwean dollars into billboards; rebranding tap water into Guinness Clear; writing documentaries, defying broadcasters, or leading a creative department, N&N strive for visually striking work that breaks the mould and has cultural impact.

Dawn Coburn | Chief Financial Officer

Dawn Coburn joined AMV in June 2022 as our Chief Financial Officer. She heads up the commercial team along with Michelle Campbell, our Financial Controller.

David Edwards | Chief Customer Officer

David Edwards, Chief Customer Officer, leads the strategy department alongside the CSO with an emphasis on customer insight, experience design and data integration.

He led Mercedes-Benz towards socially driven ideas such as Escape the Map and YouDrive which won IPA Effectiveness Gold and a WARC Innovation award. He developed the strategy behind the award-winning Jeff Goldblum campaign for Currys leading to the CFO prize for ROI at the Marketing Society Awards. He spent 4 years on Guinness continuing the tradition of culturally relevant, iconic work and winning a further IPA Effectiveness Gold. He led the strategy for the launch of the Guinness Six Nations sponsorship and the Guinness Clear responsible drinking campaign which scooped a Cannes Gold Lion for Brand Experience & Activation, Gold at the Marketing Society Brave Awards and Gold at the APG Awards.

Martin Weigel | Chief Strategy Officer

Martin is AMV’s Chief Strategy Officer, and leads one of the industry’s leading strategic department.

 

Michael Pring | Chief Operating Officer

Michael COO at AMV BBDO. He also leads the global Diageo and PepsiCo beverages relationships for the BBDO network.

He is a firm believer in the relationship between creativity and effectiveness and in the past 7 years has seen Guinness win over 20 Cannes Lions as well as an IPA Effectiveness Gold.

 

Carmen Vasile  Managing Director
