Pay Day
The most important day of the month! Your salary will be paid directly into your bank account on 25th of each month (if this date falls on a weekend you will paid on the Friday before).
Working Hours
Your hours and times of work will be shown on your contract of employment – for most employees, these will be 9.30am until 5.30pm. As in most agencies, there may be times when you’ll need to work additional hours during busy times.
Security Awareness Training
Omnicom has launched a series of training modules that focuses on IT Security. Everyone is required to complete this training. Each module covers a series of topics on Information Security Awareness:
All new starters need to complete the training within their first week of starting at the agency.
Please follow the link below and click through ALL modules and ALL topics to complete the training:

It’s important to note that all modules must be finished with a passing grade (80 or above) in the evaluation for it to be considered completed.
Appraisals and Performance Reviews
Performance appraisals are an important tool allowing both you and your manager to assess your progress to date within your role and the company, to set objectives for the forthcoming year and to identify potential training and development needs.
You will have a review of your performance with your manager at the end of your probationary period, and subject to successful completion, this will then be confirmed in writing and you will be given details of your new notice period and entitlement to join the pension scheme.
After this, performance appraisals take place once a year. If appropriate, 360 feedback will be gathered from people you work closely with, and incorporated into your appraisal.
Absence
If you are unable to come in to work because you’re ill, or for any other reason, you should let your manager know before 10am, and ideally as early as possible. If you are unable to call yourself please ensure that a relative or friend do so on your behalf.
If you are away for an absence due to illness this should also be reported on a self-certificate form which is available from the HR Department. If you are absent for more than 7 days you should also obtain a medical certificate from your doctor covering the period that you’re away.
Private Work and Conflicts of Interest
If you are considering taking up a job outside normal working hours (even an unpaid role such as a charity trustee), you must obtain prior approval from their manager. Approval may be withheld if it is likely that the job may result in a conflict of interest with your employment with AMV BBDO.
Personal Work for Clients
If you undertake work for clients in a personal capacity (eg voiceovers or translations), the following rules should be observed:
- The relevant Department Head must have agreed in writing that such work is being done outside of agency time and can earn money for the individual rather than the agency
- The client should have specifically acknowledged that the work is being charged by an employee of AMV BBDO
- The payments must be processed through payroll and taxed accordingly
False Declarations
If at any stage during employment it is revealed that an employee has made a false declaration about themselves i.e. health, qualifications, age, references, previous employment or experience, they will be subject to the disciplinary procedure and summary dismissal may result.
Deductions from Salary
If we needed to make any deductions from your salary, we would always discuss this with you in advance. However we may deduct payment from an employee’s salary for any of the following:
- Monies due from the individual to the Company
- Excess annual leave taken
- Excess sickness payments
- Overpayment of expenses
- Money requested in writing to be deducted in respect of loans i.e. season ticket loan
- Damage or loss of property as a result of employee negligence
- Attachment of Earnings court orders
If, for any reason, an employee receives an overpayment in their salary, AMV BBDO reserves the right to adjust future salary payments until the overpayment has been recovered.
